There is only the one choice in Syria and that is to defend the Syrian Government of Assad against the Jihad and Obama.

Israeli leaders and all Jews must do this. They have no other choice.

But this does not mean that Israel drops its defensive guard against Assad. Assad is in league with Jihadists of another sort, that is Iran and Hezbollah, so tapping in to the Sunni/Shia war against each other, with the Alawites typically forced because of their precarious position to manouvre for allies. Plus Assad and his Father disgraced the memory of their Grandfather who was not an Antisemite and indeed defended Jews and the Jewish Homeland concept.

There is much confusión on this. Read the hamas Charter and understand the history of what Hezbollah and its sponsor Iran is. They place the destruction of Israel top of the list.

It is likely that Iran and Hezbollah manouvre in Syria in order to créate better conditions to destroy Israel, and in their own words and chárter they are genocidal.

Israel must keep up its guard against Assad as long as he is allied with Iran and Hezbollah.

But that NEVER means Alliance with McCain.

The great crime of the Israeli leaders is that they do nothing and are seen to be on the side of McCain. The Israeli leaders even gave help to Jihadists at a border crossing. OK they say it was humanitarian help to wounded but it is not on to help Jihadists in any way.

The Israeli leaders around Netanyahu are real dopes.

McCain was interviewed on this morning´s BBC Paul Henley radio show and McCain likened the war against Syria to the war against the Serbs in Bosnia and Kosovo.

Indeed it is the same war. In Bosnia and Kosovo Clinton and Albright were fighting on the side of Jihad and against the Christian/Socialist Serbs.

It was necessary for socialists to defend Milosevic unconditionally, it is necessary for socialists to defend Israel unconditionally and against the Jihad it is necessary to defend Assad, just like Mubarak and Gadhafi, unconditionally.

Robert Spencer of Jihadwatch does not go far enough in the following but his position is still honourable.

The final pictures are our pictures from Bosnia and Kosovo, now becoming common.

Obama-backed Syrian jihadists massacre Christian village population

duwayr6.jpgHow great it is that the U.S. is going to be aiding these jihadists. Syria will be cleansed of Christians in no time, and peace will ensue.

“Syria Militants Massacre Christian Village Population (Graphic Images),” from Syria Report, June 12 (thanks to Joel):

More details of a massacre in Homs late last month have emerged following the global outcry of a massacre in Deir el-Zour yesterday. The massacre, carried out by Free Syrian Army militants reportedly targeted men, women and children in the Christian village of al-Duwayr/Douar close to the city of Homs and the border with Lebanon. The incident received little media attention, having occurred at the same time as thousands of Syrian troops converged on the insurgent-occupied town of al-Qusayr.

According to sources, around 350 heavily armed militants entered the village, broke into homes and assembled residents in the main square of the village where they were executed. The final death toll is not known but photos show severe damage to property in the village.

Syrian army sources said that they reached the village after the massacre, resulting in clashes with militants. Sources also reported that Turkish and Chechen extremists were among the perpetrators. Chechen militants are known to have kidnapped two Christian bishops in Aleppo earlier this year. The following images show al-Duwayr/Douar village after the massacre:

[Many more images here.]

Conditions for ethnic and religious minorities have been made increasingly worse as Free Syrian Army affiliated organisations including Jabhat al-Nusra increase ethnic and sectarian cleansing across Syria. Kidnappings, executions and assassinations are common.

Late last month, around the time of the massacre in Homs, a fifteen year old girl was kidnapped by militants in Damascus, who demanded $100,000 for her release. Miryam Jbeil, a niece Damascus-based Catholic priest Nader Jbeil, was released after a number of days in captivity.

Serb church burning in Mitrovica on Thursday
1 of 11 A second day of clashes saw religious sites targeted – here in the flashpoint town of Mitrovica Albanian protesters managed to burn a Serb Orthodox church.
Rioting destroys ancient Serbian churches Last Friday, when Weblog noted a mob’s destruction of four churches in Nigeria, one loyal reader asked why it got top billing over the destruction of Serbian Orthodox churches. The answer is simple: At the time, Weblog was simply unaware of the extent of the demolition there.Apparently Weblog wasn’t alone. In a meeting with Patriarch Pavle of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Russian Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu noted that the world community has largely ignored last week’s violence, which left at least 31 dead and more than 500 wounded. Thirty churches, several dating back to the 14th century, were destroyed by ethnic Albanians. Another 11 were damaged.

“We remember well a wave of indignation over the destruction by Taliban troops in Afghanistan of the stone statue[s] of Buddha, because it was the destruction of cultural heritage,” Shoigu said, according to the ITAR-TASS news agency. But there’s no outcry over these attacks, though they’re just as damaging from religious, cultural, and historical perspectives.

Serbs apparently retaliated by attacking mosques elsewhere, including one from the 17th century.

The BBC has several photos, along with a good backgrounder of the complicated triggers of the attack, and the even more complicated history of conflict between the Albanians and Serbs. There’s much more than religion to this story, but it seems clear that churches were deliberately targeted and took the brunt of the attacks.

Caroline Glick who is a patriotic Israeli Zionist writer, and is quite different to some of the jewish Neocons, has pointed out that Obama goes on the attack when he is being cornered.

This may be happening over the Syria issue.

The US is saying two contradictory things:

  1. That the Assad regime used Sarin to poison 150
  2. That they and he have no actual physical evidence, meaning no evidence

And my goodness, THAT is the pretext for war by America on Assad.

It is even more threadbare than the excuse or rationale for the bombing of Serbia for near 60 days by NATO which was the Racak massacre, which was easy to prove was a totally concocted affair

Remember that Prism was spying on billions of private transactions and if it was not for Brewster we would know nothing.

That is the great danger to us all

We do not know how the Syrian issue will proceed but it is certain that Russia must oppose this and we are very close into a Cuba missile situation.

It seems to me very unlikely that Assad would have used Sarin…ask who benefits? Assad has proved to be quite astute in all areas up to now.

Is the position of Obama becoming so exposed over Benghazi, over IRS and over Prism that he is becoming quite reckless?

If so, we have a situation racing quite out of control which will impact greatly on all of our lives

Felix Quigley

Obama backed the savages against Mubarak, the savages against Gadhafi who sodomized Gadhafi, the savages against Gaghbo who is now in prison in the Hague, and now above all in Syria.

Behind Obama stands Cameron Haig and the whole of the EU.

themarxistblog is totally opposed to the war against Assad. Time and time again it becomes ever more clear that Assad is fighting against the worst elements of the Jihad.

No good can come out of backing the war against Assad.

Israel should have made a decisión to on no account lend itself to this war against Assad.

Assad himself and his Baathists form a threat against Israel and Jews but that could always be dealt with. What cannot be dealt with in any way are Jews and Israel joining in with the Jihad against Assad.

It represents a big challenge to the Alawites. The Alawites must be shown in the course of experiences that Jews and Israel do not form a threat to the Alawites as a minority.

In fact the Alawites must be backed just as much as say the Kurds.

The fly in the ointment all the time is the Alliance which Assad has struck up with the Iranian Clerical Fascists and the Clerical Fascists of Hizbollah.

The question must be posed how can Russia as an ex-socialist nation, and China, possibly support in any way either Iran or Hezbollah.

The leadership of Israel has never been so dismal. Imagine opening their borders and field hospital to support these Jihadists against Assad. Yes I am afraid that has actually happened.

Russia is right to be concerned about what happened to Gadhafi and to vow never to let that happen again.

That is why Russia is entirely right not to allow Assad to fall. But Russia must be told the Alliance with Iran is wrong, because Iran is very simply a Jew Hating Entity under the Mullahs.

Now there is this story about this poor Arab boy, murdered by these savages at 15.

Pamela Geller on Atlas Shrugs covers this story and although Geller does not say it the story of this poor boy is a complete condemnation of the Israeli leaders joining in with the war on Assad.

Assad has threatened Israel and Israel must threaten back and mean it, if Assad takes any action then Israel will strike its hardest against Assad. But not join the Jihad on Assad. That is unforgiveable.

The next time they execute someone for blasphemy, they can use the lethal weapons Obama wants to send them.

15 Yr Old Publicly Executed for Blasphemy in Aleppo Israel National News, June 10, 2013

Muhammad Qatta's coffee stand

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Sunday  that Islamist rebels in the city executed 15-year-old Muhamma Qatta’ in  the Sha’ar neighborhood of Aleppo, before the horrifed eyes of  his parents.

The punishment came after the boy was overheard by someone during an argument while he was working. “Even if Muhammad comes back to life, I won’t lend,” the boy reportedly said in his workplace, where he sold coffee and from where  he was detained at 10 p.m. Sunday. He was later returned by the rebels  to the area, his shirt covering his head and with his body marked from  torture and beating.

The men who escorted him then announced to the crowd in classical  Arabic that apostasy and cursing the prophet is a “terrible vice” and  that anyone who does so will face a similar fate. The SOHR reported the boy was then shot by the two men with an automatic rifle in front of the crowd – which included the boy’s mother and father — once in the neck and once in the head. The two men then drove away in their car, leaving the boy’s body behind.

An extremely graphic photo of the teen’s face, shot in the mouth and throat and covered in blood, is posted on the SOHR Facebook page.  “The SOHR demands that the killers of the child be brought to justice,”  said the Observatory in a statement on Facebook. “It is important to  note that the Shari’a court of Aleppo has a security branch in the area but did not stop the summary execution of the boy.

Meanwhile, Syrian government troops are preparing for a siege of  Aleppo, currently held by the rebel forces who plan to declare the  northern commercial hub a separatist Islamist state.

Troops loyal to President Bashar al-Assad are “deploying heavily in  the countryside near Aleppo in preparation for a battle that will be  fought inside the city and on its outskirts,” said Syria’s al-Watan  pro-government newspaper.

Just days after Assad forces recaptured the town of Qusair with aid  of Lebanese Hizbullah guerrilla fighters, the government troops now plan to do the same in Aleppo “in the coming hours or days.” The report went on to say, “Beseiged areas will be freed in the first stages and troops which have been on the defensive will on the offensive. The Syrian army will take advantage of its experience in Qusair and Eastern Ghouta  (near Damascus) to advance in the provinces of Hama and Homs.”

A security source told the AFP news agency, “It is likely  the battle for Aleppo will start in the coming hours or days, and its  aim is to reclaim the towns and villages in the province.” Shi’ite  fighters from the Hizbullah terrorist organization and from Iraq have been reinforcing the Syrian Army soldiers in their  battles.  Last month, Hizbullah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah vowed to fight “to the end” to put down the uprising and to “defend Lebanon”  from “jihadist extremists.”

Hezbollah is now in Syria across border from Jews and Israel

Hezbollah and Iran today, Husseini with Nazis yesterday

The Russian Government is emerging along with Obama as the worst enemy of Israel.

It is thanks to Russia that Iranian Hezbollah Fascists and Antisemites are looking across the fence at Jews once more, thus bringing the world back to the massacre of the Jews in the Holocaust under Hitler and the Arab Palestinian Muftí Husseini.

What is Russia today? Is Russia Stalinist? Yes the remnants of Stalinism are surely there but also Russia is still a deeply Antisemitic country, as it was under the Czars and under the Stalinists.

Also Russia and China as well as India are endangered by US Imperialism, and even by the Alliance of Imperialism with Islam.

But directly in Syria Russia is threatening Israel and the Jewish state. Thus in everything it does Russia prepares the ground for a massacre of the Jews.

The situation for Jews is most serious because the Israeli leaders and Israeli blogs took a position towards the Arab Spring of lofty abstention.

They did not defend Mubarak AGAINST FASCISM and on sites like Israpundit writers said that Mubarak was no different than Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. You cannot win or even progress an inch with that type of bankrupt approach.

Again the website Debka has got it. It tells of the serious situation facing Jews without equivocation like these others:

START QUOTE from debka

Israel has four major concerns in this matter:

1. The presence of Russian troops on the Syrian side of the Golan would inhibit Israeli cross-border military action should it become necessary for its security.

2.  It would upset the relations the IDF has developed with certain Syrian rebel units, manifested by their war wounded receiving treatment at the military field hospital set up especially at the Tel Hazaka post on the Golan and transferred in severe case to hospitals in Haifa and Safed. Last week, US military released data with pictures showing the movements of Israeli special forces in and out of Syria.

3.  The possibility of Russian officers in blue helmets interfering with Israeli military movements on the Israeli side of the Golan as well cannot be ruled out.

4.   Some of the Russian contingent may be assigned to gather intelligence on Israeli military movements in the north of the country. There is no way to stop them handing those secrets over to the Syrian and Hizballah.

In the event, the UN thanked Moscow but explained that the Syrian-Israeli 1974 disengagement accord did not allow permament UN Security Council members with veto power to serve in UNDOF.

The most serious situation now facing Israel. Will Israel survive as a state?

Muftí Husseini meets Himmler…there is really no gap between then and now…still the central aim is to kill Jews

There is a huge crisis in Jewish leadership. Sure there are plenty on the blogs who talk a good talk.

But we warned repeatedly on themarxistblog and on that Israel had to be proactive on every aspect of this Arab Spring.

It meant defending these secular leaders against the Muslim Brotherhood. But to do that meant an OPEN break with US Imperialism in all its forms, especially with Obama and the Democrats plus people like McCain

Very simply Israeli leaders could do that, could not make that break with Obama and hence could not do THE SECOND THING WE SAID ISRAEL MUST DO

What was this vital “second thing”? It was to act independently and strike where necessary to defend Israel.

It was necessary for Israel to defend Assad in public statements against the Jihad of Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood. But it was also necessary for Israel to hit Iran and to hit the agents of Iran which are Hizbullah, and also in the final analysis also Hamas and Fatah.

Instead for months Israeli leaders were mucking about courting favor with Qatar and the Saudis.

Now basically Iran and Hizbullah have taken open control of Southern Syria…NOT ASSAD…and the next step of these Fascist Antisemites is Israel.

There is NO hope for Israel unles it breaks from US and from Western Imperialism.

That means NO hope unless a new leadership can take over from Netanyahu, not some time in the future, but right now.

The Israeli people are like a frog in warm wáter being slowly boiled…they are being disarmed because there is no leadership to not just talk but lead.

debka gets it:

The Syrian rebels’ defeat in the key town of al Qusayr, Wednesday, June 6, was also a major strategic debacle for the US, Israel and Western Europe, the price they paid for leaving allied Syrian-Hizballah troops orchestrated by Iranian officers a clear field to win the day. The Syrian-Hizballah machine is now ready to capitalize on its victory and roll into Aleppo and southern Syria to extinguish rebel resistance there too. Israel is next in its sights. Continue reading

In the following analysis by debka it is clear that Israel is very much on the defensive

themarxistblog does not accept this in any way. Israel has been put onto the defensive by a number of clearly identifiable factors. Much comes from Bush and Obama. Bush removed Saddam which greatly strengthened Iran. That was disastrous for Israel and was why Sharon DID NOT support the Bush war against Saddam, even though Israel had been much abused by Saddam. Seconly Obama was behind the Muslim Brotherhood defeating Mubarak and Gadhafi, both of whom were SECULAR leaders.

Now Iraq is a complete danger to Israel. Syria in every way is a complete danger to Israel.

It is a most dangerous situation for the Jews of Israel. Jews are being surrounded in a most dangerous way.

Israel has to defend itself with everything and themarxistblog alone on the left supports Israel in this with UNCONDITIONAL support.

But for Israel to go on the attack, to be proactive, demands something else, something extra, and that is leadership.

How can Israel go on the attack, that is the central question of the hour and is one in which there must be discussion…debka is useful indeed because debka does raise the issues and the problems in a truthful and objective way. But there is no solution from debka either….

“Syrian batteries are in a high state of operability, ready to fire at short notice,” said Israel Air Force Colonel Zvika Haimovich in special briefings to international media Friday. He disclosed that Israel tracks every missile fired in the Syrian civil war, since southward launches would give Israel mere seconds to determine it was not the true target. “All it would take is a few degrees’ change in the flight path to endanger us.”

Speaking at the Palmachim air and missile base south of Tel Aviv, Col. Haimovich explained that long-range radars feed real-time data on the barrages to the base command where officers are braced to activate Arrow II. The more threatening launches set off sirens in Palmachim. Warplanes there are also on standby to scramble. “We are looking at all aspects, from the performance of weaponry to the way the Syrians use it,” said the Israeli air force officer. “They have used everything that I am aware exists in their missile and rocket arsenal [against Syrian rebel forces]. They are improving all the time, and so are we… but we need to study and be prepared.”

Another Israeli expert, speaking on condition of anonymity, described a combination of split-second analysis of the strength of the launch with up-to-date intelligence on Bashar Assad’s intentions. He said Israel had beefed up its deployment to more than four nationwide batteries, to allow for repeated interception of any incoming missile. The intention is “to ensure that we have at least two opportunities to intercept. We have not yet been called into action on the northern front, but I believe that we will be,” said this officer.

In Washington, Pentagon sources reported that the United States was sending Patriot missile defense systems and F-16 fighter jets to Jordan for the annual joint Eager Lion exercise between the two armies. The sources did not say whether the Patriots and fighter jets would withdraw after the two-month exercise. The US officials pointed out that the Patriots would not shield Jordan from Syrian Scuds, but were a demonstration of US support for the Hashemite kingdom. At the same time, debkafile’s military sources report a high degree of operational coordination between the US Patriot deployments in Jordan and Turkey and the Israeli Arrow 2 preparedness for a potential missile attack which could come from Iran, Syria, Lebanon or the Gaza Strip.

Another component of this missile shield is the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System aboard US warships in the Mediterranean. Moscow, for its part, continues to sow confusion about the delivery of its S-300 anti-air missile batteries to Syria, but has shown its hand on another issue, by blocking a UN Security Council motion that would have condemned Hizballah. Tabled under the heading of “a declaration of alarm over Qusayr” the Council was asked to express “grave concern” over the dire events in that town since Hizballah forces fighting with the Syrian army captured most of its urban area. Our military sources report heavy fighting is raging in the northern sector of al Qusayr since the rebels brought in reinforcements for their last stand late last week.

A Hizballah siege force has cut off food and water supplies for the 10,000 civilians and 2,500 opposition fighters trapped in that corner of the town. At least 1.200 wounded people are without access to medical attention.

Moscow claimed it blocked a Security Council motion on al Qusayr because there was no UN condemnation when the Syrian rebels captured the town in 2012. For Israel, the Russian UN action is of great concern because it amounts to the extension of Moscow’s patronage not just to the Assad regime but also to Hizballah which spearheaded the al Qusayr offensive.  This is consistent with the pledges of support Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov gave Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah during their secret conversation in Beirut on April 27. When questioned on this score, Russian diplomats were evasive – in the same way as they are ambiguous about the S-300 missiles. However Moscow’s Security Council action leaves no room for doubt that Hizballah’s military intervention in the Syrian war has won a powerful champion in Moscow.

What about Alawites?

Allah knows what will happen to them. There is a difference between the basic kuffar [infidels] and those who converted from Islam. If the latter, we must punish them. Alawites are included. Even Sunnis who want democracy are kuffar as are all Shia. It’s not about who is loyal and who isn’t to the regime; it’s about their religion. Sharia says there can be no punishment of the innocent and there must be punishment of the bad; that’s what we follow.

The above is an extract from an interview with a Syrian Jihadist printed on clearly showing why Assad is supported. If Assad falls there will be a great killing of Christians and Alawites. Obama and Cameron are on the side of this planned killing, even though they do not plan it, if their policies are followed through that great killing will take place. This means that themarxistblog follows a policy of defence of Assad AGAINST JIHAD but Israel reserves at every point the right to defend itself against Assad.

“The other sects are protected by the Islamic state. Muhammad, peace be upon him, had a Jewish neighbour, for example, and he was always good to him.  But the power and authority must be with the believers [Sunnis], not the unbelievers.” A most revealing interview: “An interview with Jabhat al-Nusra,” from The Economist, May 23:

The interviewee is a young fighter from Jabhat al-Nusra, an extremist Sunni group in Syria affiliated with al-Qaeda in Iraq. A former teacher and then tiler, he is dressed in well-ironed black trousers, a white shirt and a black turban. A gun rests on his lap. He is accompanied by an older man, who appears to be judging him on his answers. Both are Syrian and ask not to be named because they do not have permission to speak to the press.

How has Jabhat al-Nusra become so powerful?

The reason is the weakening of the other groups. Jabhat al-Nusra gets the advantage because of our ideology. We are not just rebels; we are doing something we believe in. We are not just fighting against tyranny; Bashar Assad is only part of our fight. The other groups are only a reaction to the regime, whereas we are fighting for a vision.

What is that vision?

We are fighting to apply what Allah said to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. We are fighting so people don’t look to other people but only to Allah. We don’t believe in complete freedom: it is restricted by Allah’s laws. Allah created us and he knows what is best for us.

What future do you see for Syria—or do you even see a Syria in the future?

We want the future that Islam commands. Not a country with borders but an umma [worldwide Islamic community of believers] of all the Muslim people. All Muslims should be united.

Syria has long been known for its sectarian diversity. How do you view the other sects?

The other sects are protected by the Islamic state. Muhammad, peace be upon him, had a Jewish neighbour, for example, and he was always good to him.  But the power and authority must be with the believers [Sunnis], not the unbelievers.

What about other Sunnis who are more moderate than you?

We will apply sharia law to them.

Did you lose or gain fighters following the announcement that you are linked to al-Qaeda in Iraq?

We’re with anything that represents real Islam, whether al-Qaeda or otherwise. If there is a better group, we’ll go with them instead. The effect of the announcement is that now we know our friends and our enemies. The good people will come to our side and the bad people will leave.

Many, maybe most, Syrians do not share your views. Do you care?

It would be great if the Syrians were with us but the kuffar are not important. Abraham and Sarah were facing all the infidels, for example, but they were doing the right thing. The number with us doesn’t matter.

Which other rebel groups do you see as acceptable? Ahrar al-Sham, another Salafist group, criticised your links to al-Qaeda.

I think only 5% of the battalions are against the Islamic vision. Ahrar al-Sham are a mixture of Islamists and people who like Allah so we are not sure about their vision. We are very clear as the Prophet, peace be upon him, made it very clear to us. Other groups have good beliefs but we are the only committed ones.

Will the differences lead to clashes, as have happened in some places? And how would you react if Western powers decide to arm other rebel groups?

If the arms reach people who will fight Assad and Hizbullah that’s okay. If they use them against us, then that’s a problem. We’ll avoid fighting [other groups] if we can. The West wants to ruin Syria.

How hard is it to become a member of Jabhat al-Nusra?

We examine those who want to join. First you must be loyal to the idea of Jabhat al-Nusra. Second, you must get a recommendation [from someone in the organisation]. Third, you go to a camp to be educated and practice, and take the oath of loyalty to the emir [the group’s leader].

Do you plan to carry out operations against the West in the future?

There is no permanent friendship and no permanent enemy. We’ll do whatever is in the interest of Muslims. The first duty on us is to fight the kuffar among us here in the occupied Muslim lands. The next duty will be decided later.

Do you have contact with the Syrian regime?

If it is in the interest of the Muslims, such as for gas or water, then we have no problem. These matters are in the hands of the emir.

Your presence helps the regime which has long tried to portray the opposition as extremist. What do you think about that?

The regime maybe benefits but in the end we’ll show all humans, Syrian and otherwise, the way, and true Islam.

What are your views of women?

The woman in Islam has a special role. She is respected as a wife, a sister, a mother, a daughter. She is a jewel we should preserve and look after. In the West they gave women freedom but they use them and don’t respect them. The woman is to use in adverts. We don’t have an issue with the woman working according to her mind and body. But not jobs that humiliate. Jewellery is okay on women, but not on men, and not too much. Make up should be just for your husband. You can wear coloured clothes and show your face. [The older man disagrees, saying women should cover their face and hands.]

Shouldn’t men also cover up to avoid women looking at other people’s husbands?

Our women ask the same question. Some men can’t control themselves and the woman is the source. It’s easier to prevent abuse. The men’s role is to go out and work. Man’s brain is bigger than the woman’s—that’s scientifically proven. Men’s brains have different areas for speaking and thinking, but women’s don’t which is why women they say what they think.

What if your interpretation of the Koran is wrong?

There are two types of verse. Firstly ones that are stable and unchanging, such as head-covering. Secondly ones on which people can differ, such as the rule demanding ablution after touching a woman. Does that mean touching her skin or intercourse? Opinions can differ.

Do you consider any Islamists too radical, like the Taliban, for example?

There are people committed to Islam and then those far from it. No one committed is too radical. We haven’t met anyone from the Taliban but they seem good Muslims because they defended their religion and the occupation, they kicked out the enemy and applied sharia.

Did you study religion?

I was poor but I read the Bible, and lots of Jewish and Islamic books. My head and heart told me to accept the Koran and the Sunna [accompanying religious texts]. Islam is different because it has a complete view of life, society, politics, economics—it is a complete system.

We hear there is a split inside Jabhat al-Nusra about your links to al-Qaeda. Do you disagree about that or other matters?

There are small differences, but when we give loyalty, we obey.
